Communicate information relating to Bus services and timetables throughout the city.

Objective

To communicate information relating to Bus services and timetables throughout the city. Allowing access to maps, business listings, tourist information and local information. With the ability to report a crime and circulate missing persons details. To be communicated out at no cost and built for consumer convenience.

Implementation

Fixed Blu static points were located within the Bus Station platforms. When customers enter the bus station they will receive a welcome message inviting them to download a java application to their phones - instantaneously and for free. The customer then has unlimited access to send and receive information whilst within the station.

Date Installed

August 2007.

Result

Since installation, the servers have sent out 683,107 invitations for information - and have seen 379,001 people request and receive information.
